How to Create Your Own Cross Stitch Patterns

To begin designing, simply tap the “Create a Cross Stitch Pattern” button. This will open the Cross Stitch Pattern Editor, where the magic happens.

Use the tools provided to fill in squares with DMC floss colors and craft your unique design. You can even add custom colors if your project requires something special.

Here’s how to get started:

• Use the Pencil button to fill in squares on your pattern.
• Tap the Eraser button to remove unwanted stitches.

Enhance your design further by choosing from over 80 stamps and borders that can be easily applied to your pattern.

Tool Button Functions (Left to Right)

• DMC Floss Color button – Select the desired thread color for stitching
• Save button – Save your current pattern for future editing
• Pencil button – Fill individual squares or sections with selected color
• Eraser button – Remove filled squares or backstitch lines
• Backstitch button – Add backstitch lines after selecting a color
• Backstitch Move button – Drag and reposition existing backstitch lines
• Backstitch Move Stitch End – Adjust either end of a backstitch line to a new location
• Stamps button – Choose from a variety of small pre-made designs to insert into your pattern
• Borders button – Apply decorative borders that automatically wrap around your design
• Dropper button – Pick up an existing color from your pattern for reuse
• Bucket button – Fill large areas with the currently selected color
• Bucket+ button – Replace one color across the entire pattern with another
• Undo button – Revert the last action step-by-step
• Redo button – Restore actions previously undone
• Selection Box button – Highlight a specific area of your pattern
• Cut button – Remove a selected portion of your pattern
• Copy button – Copy a selected section to the clipboard
• Paste button – Insert copied content and place it anywhere in your design
• Rotate button – Rotate the selected area or entire pattern
• Flip Right/Left button – Mirror the selected area or whole pattern horizontally
• Flip Top/Bottom button – Flip the selected area or full pattern vertically
• Zoom In button – Magnify your view for detailed work

• Symbols button – Assign a unique symbol to each color for easy reference
• Picture button – Import an image from your device and convert it into a stitchable pattern
• Social Media button – Share your finished design via email, text, or social platforms
• Resize Bars – Located at the bottom-right corner; drag to adjust the overall pattern dimensions
• Option Settings – Customize grid color, toggle between solid fill or X-style, hide row/column counters
