Yakuza / Like a Dragon Fans Choosing Upcoming Official Merch, From Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones, and More Bizarre Items

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series by letting fans vote on the next round of official merchandise. A whopping 100 items are up for grabs, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but votes can be submitted on the official website.

The merchandise options range from the expected (like a 20th-anniversary hoodie or pencil case) to the utterly bizarre, drawing heavily from the series' famously outlandish history.

Fans can choose from items like Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, the giant traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options include Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

2025 will see at least one new game release to mark the anniversary, with Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean launching on February 21st. While a second release is unconfirmed, RGG Studio's prolific output in recent years (nine games in the last five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Lost Judgment, and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth) suggests it's not out of the realm of possibility.
