Wuthering Waves: Unveiling the Path to Knighthood

This guide details the "The Last Knight" side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region. It's a relatively short quest with rewarding outcomes, offering a glimpse into life beyond Ragunna City.

The Last Knight is unlocked after completing Chapter 2 of the main storyline, specifically the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. It's advisable to finish Chapter 2, Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then.

Starting the Quest

Locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries

This involves defeating the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. The Mad Knight is not a particularly difficult opponent.

Mimic Chest Challenge

After defeating the Mad Knight, go to the tallest tower, then fly to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He's unconscious near a large purple flower. Touching the flower transports you to an area with chests; only one is genuine. The correct chest is the second one in the middle-left. Be prepared to fight mimic chests after opening the real one.

Investigating the Knight's Trail

Follow the quest markers, visiting locations associated with the legendary knight. This involves interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, follow the scent to a unique Chop Chop enemy with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Using a Questless Knight Echo is recommended for this encounter to parry and stun the Chop Chop.

Finding Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a town plaza. He'll be challenged by knights. The quest concludes after Carlow accepts a duel, abandoning his idealized view of the Mad Knight and embracing a true protector's role. You'll receive rewards including Union XP, Astrites, and resources.
