Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Cosmic Update Coming Mid-April
LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch later this month, ushering in a cosmic transformation that will revamp everything from the menus to the battlefield. This update invites players to explore the Dual Nova galaxy, featuring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star, promising an exhilarating journey through new celestial landscapes.
Three new champions are set to join the roster in Wild Rift's latest update, each bringing unique and game-altering abilities to the fray. Ryze, the Rune Mage, unleashes devastating area of effect (AoE) damage and can teleport his teammates across the map with his Realm Warp ability. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives in chaos, using Paranoia to plunge enemies into darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time, slowing foes and reviving allies with his Chronoshift.
Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen’s Courage will now scale over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will become more effective at shredding enemy armor. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage output and life steal. Minor tweaks are also on the way for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista.
Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift is set to spice up non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase. Mages will benefit from long-awaited item updates, including the new Bandle Fantasy item that adds extra burst damage. Hextech GLP800 will slow enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance will enhance ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.
Ranked mode is also seeing significant changes with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, marking the start of a new season. Updates to the Ranked store and an easier way to earn seasonal rewards are on the horizon. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a fresh take on ARAM with added augments and stunning galactic visuals.
The Wild Pass will introduce two breathtaking skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate's new look will debut an entirely new skinline, adding to the excitement of this update.
LoL: Wild Rift’s version 6.1 patch is scheduled for release on April 16th. For more details, be sure to visit the official website.
