Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your adventure begins in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital, in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any unnecessary loot and arming yourself. I recommend a Rifle—it's only $75 and packs enough punch to fend off most threats for a while. Don't forget to purchase coal to fuel the boat; its engine is old-school, after all.

Your next destination is 10,000m away. Simply ignite the engine and you're on your way. While you can stop to take down Zombies and Drowned for loot, I wouldn't suggest it—the houses along the route don't hold much value. To restart the ship, just add more coal. Ignore the worm on the right side; it's harmless. Hold onto your loot until the second safe zone to sell, but watch out for Big Foot and Zombie mobs flanking the river.

After reaching the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter numerous burning buildings teeming with enemies. Clear them out if you're in a group, but solo runs might be a waste of time due to unpredictable spawn points. Around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned, but also stocked with Shotgun ammo and valuable loot. Use these resources wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks
By now, you're familiar with the routine—kill, loot, repeat, and hope for enemy defeat. That's the essence of the gameplay loop. To master the game, focus on efficiency by using the boat as your primary inventory. Empty your bag onto the boat to save time and space.

A tip that significantly helped me while compiling this Dead Sails Kraken guide was stacking Zombies near the incinerator. Though it's tempting to rush out of these towns, efficient loot stacking pays off. Running low on fuel? Toss a few Zombies into the incinerator for a quick refuel.

Another useful tip is to keep an eye on the Sheriff's offices. They often host a higher concentration of mobs, but also offer valuable weapons and ammo. I was able to sustain my shotgun's ammo supply by having a friend clear the ground floor in each town we visited.

Conserve your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at 25,000m. It's still under construction, making it an easy target for ambushes. I wouldn't recommend venturing here alone; a group of at least three, ideally five, is best. Be meticulous when collecting loot.

Similarly, avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000m. They're extremely powerful, require a lot of ammo, and can easily overwhelm you. Don't linger and plan your stops carefully—loot isn't everything.
The town after 50,000m is one of my favorite farming spots. It's packed with Drowned and Zombies, perfect for groups with Shotguns or Sawnoffs. It's also an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel, so coordinate with your team to prepare the bodies for loading quickly.
How to Defeat the Kraken Boss in Dead Sails Kraken
Before facing the Kraken, sell all your excess in the final safe zone and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't skimp on taking down Zombies and Drowned; aim to have at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during this final phase of the Dead Sails Kraken guide. As you approach 100,000m, you'll reach open waters and be ready to confront the beast. The telltale sign of its arrival is the darkening skies.

As the camera zooms out and the Kraken emerges, everyone must target a tentacle. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can deal damage if not managed correctly. With five players, form a pentagram-like formation and focus on your individual targets.

Be cautious of the water splash attack, which causes area-of-effect damage. It's signaled by the Kraken winding back and creating a water trail with its tentacle. Use medkits generously, as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, watch out for the Roar AoE, which inflicts minor unblockable damage and may slightly boost the boss's damage output. It's indicated by white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle that used the ability.

See, it's not as hard as it seems. That's everything you need to know from my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To conquer the boss even quicker, use one of our Dead Sails codes and see how far and fast you can go. Good luck and smooth sailing!
