Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

To access the hidden true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you must first complete the main Shu campaign. This unlocks the ability to replay stages, revealing a special challenge.

Look for a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban" in the stage selection screen. This marks the stage with the alternate ending. Normally, you help Liu Bei escape while Zhang Fei holds off Cao Cao. However, to unlock the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao before Liu Bei escapes.

This is a challenging task, requiring you to single-handedly overcome Cao Cao's substantial forces. To increase your chances of success:

• Reduce Difficulty: Set the game's difficulty to "Historian" mode. This significantly reduces the enemy's strength, improving your odds of victory within the time limit.

• Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner. This places you closer to Cao Cao's initial deployment, reducing travel time and maximizing your engagement opportunity.

• Maximize Musou Rage: Ensure your Musou Rage meter is full before engaging Cao Cao's main force. You'll need this power to counter Cao Cao's Grand Tactics, which involve eliminating enemy officers and defeating a large number of soldiers. A weapon like twin pikes is recommended for efficiently eliminating large groups of soldiers.

Once Cao Cao is defeated, several additional missions will lead you to the Shu true ending.
