Unlock All BlazBlue Entropy Effect Characters: Guide
Unlocking characters in *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* is a unique adventure, requiring you to gather items known as Prototype Analyzers. These are essential for unlocking new characters, except for the DLC characters, which you can unlock by purchasing them. Our comprehensive *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* character unlock guide not only explains how to acquire Prototype Analyzers but also lists all the playable characters you can encounter in the game.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect: How To Unlock Characters
Your journey begins right after the tutorial, where you receive your first Prototype Analyzer. This item sets you on the path to expanding your roster. After exiting the Acer Program room through the passage on your right, you'll find yourself in a room with a glowing platform. Interact with this platform to access the character selection menu, where you can choose which character to unlock.
For subsequent unlocks, return to this room and interact with the platform using additional Prototype Analyzers. Note that DLC characters like Rachel and Hazama, available as of March 2025, are exceptions. These characters automatically unlock upon purchasing and installing their respective character packs.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect: How To Get More Prototype Analyzers
In *Entropy Effect*, you can earn more Prototype Analyzers through a few dedicated methods, each requiring some effort and time:
Progress the Story
As you delve deeper into *BlazBlue Entropy Effect*'s narrative and complete training missions, you'll unlock gray skills. Reaching specific milestones—10, 20, and 40 gray skills—rewards you with a Prototype Analyzer. Additionally, a key event later in the story also grants you one automatically, but unlocking green skills through Potential does not contribute to earning Prototype Analyzers. Unless developer 91Act introduces new skills or other methods, you can only secure three Analyzers through the story.
Complete Mind Challenges and Spend AP
Another avenue to acquire Prototype Analyzers is by engaging with the Mind Challenge mode. You can trade the points you earn, known as AP, with the janitor for a Prototype Analyzer. However, this isn't a frequent opportunity, as each Analyzer costs a hefty 5,000 AP.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect: All Characters
As of March 2025, *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* boasts a roster of 12 characters—10 from the base game and 2 as paid DLC. Here's a closer look at each character you can unlock using Prototype Analyzers, excluding the DLC characters:
Ragna the Bloodedge
Ragna is your quintessential melee fighter with a unique twist. He thrives in close-range combat, and as his HP decreases, he gains power. Ragna's signature move involves sacrificing health to boost his abilities, then recovering some of it by draining his opponents.
Jin Kisaragi
Jin is another melee specialist, renowned for his sophisticated swordplay and mastery over ice. He can freeze enemies, and with well-timed combos, he boosts his strength significantly and can even dazzle foes with bursts of super speed.
Noel Vermillion
Unlike Jin and Ragna, Noel excels at ranged combat. She can unleash a barrage of missiles in any direction and has a special ability to reduce her skill cooldown times. Additionally, Noel can use Over-Exhaust to continue casting skills even after her MP is depleted.
Taokaka
While Taokaka may struggle against heavily armored opponents due to her lack of anti-armor skills, her versatility in building strategies more than compensates for this. She can strike foes multiple times and apply status effects with her Spinny Spinny attack, making her adaptable to a wide range of playstyles.
Hakumen
Hakumen is the epitome of a tank, designed to withstand and counter enemy attacks effectively. His slow but powerful moves are perfect for frontline combat, and successfully blocking attacks allows him to use skills at a reduced MP cost. He can even be equipped with a midair attack to tackle various enemy types.
Lambda-11
Lambda-11 excels in both close and long-range combat, making her a versatile choice. Her abilities allow her to inflict continuous damage on enemies, even when not actively attacking, making her adept at handling any combat situation.
Kokonoe
Kokonoe is often considered one of the weaker characters in *Entropy Effect*, requiring precise management of lasers and crowd control effects. However, with the right damage-over-time build, she can still be highly effective.
Hibiki Kohaku
Hibiki specializes in evasion and controlling groups of enemies. While not the most potent character, his ability to avoid damage makes him a valuable asset in any team.
Es
Es is incredibly powerful even without unlocking potentials. She can counter after dodging, execute mid-air combos, and possesses crowd-control abilities, making her a jack-of-all-trades without any noticeable weaknesses.
Mai Nastume
Mai has a high skill ceiling and can be challenging to master until you understand her combo mechanics. While her Heavy Attack may seem like her main draw, her true strength lies in chaining combos for maximum damage and mobility.
Rachel Alucard
Rachel is exceptionally powerful, with speed and the ability to reset her dodge moves, making her nearly untouchable. Her abilities cover vast areas, and one of her moves is nearly impossible for enemies to dodge, stunning them effectively.
Hazama
Hazama requires a strategic approach, with his best moves needing precise inputs. While there's a steep learning curve, mastering his skills makes him one of the game's strongest characters.
And that's the complete rundown on how to unlock all the characters in *BlazBlue Entropy Effect*.
