As reported by Eurogamer on December 20th, Ubisoft has discreetly released Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E., a top-down multiplayer arcade shooter requiring cryptocurrency for participation. The game, according to Eden Online, expands the universe of the Netflix series, "Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix," incorporating familiar Ubisoft franchises like Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed.

Limited to 10,000 players, access is granted via a Citizen ID Card NFT. This digital card tracks player stats, achievements, and evolves based on in-game performance.

To acquire a card, players need a crypto wallet and purchase an NFT Niji Warrior ID card from Ubisoft's designated page for $25.63. Citizens can also relinquish their citizenship and resell their IDs, with potential value increases linked to in-game success.

Ubisoft's Magic Eden page indicates a full launch in Q1 2025, with early access for those who secured IDs early.

A Netflix Series Inspired by Far Cry 3's Blood Dragon DLC

The Netflix series, "Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix," serves as an animated spin-off of Far Cry 3's Blood Dragon expansion. Set in an alternate 1992, where the US is Eden, a megacorporation-controlled technocracy, the series follows Dolph Laserhawk, a supersoldier turned defector, his betrayal, recapture, and subsequent mission to thwart his former partner's plans.
