Top Lasher Decks for Marvel Snap Revealed

As we approach the conclusion of the *Marvel Rivals* themed season in *Marvel Snap*, a remnant from the October's We Are Venom season, Lasher, is up for grabs for free through the returning High Voltage game mode. But is this latest symbiote worth the effort?

How Lasher Works in Marvel Snap

Lasher is a 2-cost card with a power of 2, boasting an ability that reads: "Activate: Afflict an enemy card here with negative Power equal to this card’s Power." At its core, Lasher will reduce an opposing card's power by -2, unless you manage to enhance its power. With the plethora of buff options available in *Marvel Snap*, Lasher holds more potential than typical free cards like Agony and King Etri.

For instance, utilizing cards like Namora can boost Lasher to a 7-power card, or even a 12-power card if you retrigger her effect with Wong or Odin, effectively making Lasher a 14 or 24 power play. Lasher synergizes exceptionally well with the season pass card, Galacta.

Remember, as an Activate card, you'll need to draw and play Lasher by turn 5 at the latest to maximize its impact.

Best Lasher Decks in Marvel Snap

While it may take some time for Lasher to find its niche, one of the best meta decks with buff options is the Silver Surfer deck. Although it typically doesn't accommodate many 2-cost cards, activating Lasher on the final turn can lead to significant power swings. Here's the deck list:

Nova
Forge
Lasher
Okoye
Brood
Silver Surfer
Killmonger
Nakia
Red Guardian
Sebastian Shaw
Copycat
Galacta: Daughter of Galactus
[ttpp]

The high-end cards in this deck are expensive Series 5 cards: Red Guardian, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, and Galacta (if you didn't purchase the season pass). However, all except Galacta can be replaced with other strong 3-cost cards like Juggernaut or Polaris.

Lasher serves as an excellent third target for Forge, though you'll likely prioritize Brood or Sebastian Shaw. After playing Galacta on turn 4, you might run out of targets for your buffs, making Lasher a valuable addition. A 2-cost card with 5 power, thanks to Galacta, that afflicts an opposing card with -5 power effectively becomes a 10-power card without additional energy cost on the final turn.

This Silver Surfer deck is quite straightforward, allowing for experimentation. Notable exclusions include Absorbing Man, Gwenpool, and Sera.

Lasher is most likely to find a home in this meta deck due to its numerous hand and board buffs. While it might also fit into affliction decks without buffs, there's potential for experimentation with Namora as a premier buff card.

Agony
Zabu
Lasher
Psylocke
Hulk Buster
Jeff!
Captain Marvel
Scarlet Spider
Galacta: Daughter of Galactus
Gwenpool
Symbiote Spider-Man
Namora
[ttpp]

This deck is highly expensive, featuring several required Series 5 cards: Scarlet Spider, Galacta, Gwenpool, Symbiote Spider-Man, and Namora. Jeff can be swapped for Nightcrawler.

If you possess all these cards, this deck promises significant power, relying on Galacta, Gwenpool, and Namora to buff cards like Lasher and Scarlet Spider, which then activate and distribute power across the board. Zabu and Psylocke help deploy these 4-cost cards early, while Symbiote Spider-Man reactivates Namora. Jeff! and Hulk Buster offer additional support and flexibility if your draws aren't ideal.

Is Lasher Worth Playing High Voltage For?

As *Marvel Snap* becomes increasingly costly to keep up with, Lasher is definitely worth acquiring if you have the time to grind the High Voltage mode. It's a fast-paced game mode with numerous rewards to collect before you unlock Lasher, so make sure to tackle the challenge missions that appear every 8 hours. While Lasher may not become a meta staple, similar to Agony, you're likely to see it featured in several meta-relevant decks.
