Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the addition of a multiplayer mode and the release of a new expansion, the Folkrace DLC. This expansion will enrich the single-player experience by introducing new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players will have the opportunity to engage in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to excel on the tracks.

The multiplayer mode will initially be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players to get early access and provide feedback. Tuxedo Labs is particularly keen to hear from the modding community, as updates to the game's API will enable modders to adapt their creations for multiplayer use.

The inclusion of multiplayer has been a long-standing goal for the Tuxedo Labs team and a much-requested feature by the game's fans. This announcement signifies the realization of that vision.

Upon launch, the multiplayer mode will be accessible through the "Experimental" branch on Steam, giving players the chance to test the new feature. Concurrently, the team will roll out API updates to support modders, ensuring that existing mods can operate effectively in multiplayer settings. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become a permanent fixture of Teardown.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two more major DLCs are in development, with more information to be released later in 2025.
