Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Receives Final Major Update, Ending Live Service Support

Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update for its live-service title, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Season 4 Episode 8, titled "Balance," is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This marks the end of new content development for the game, though servers will remain online.

Launched in February 2024 to mixed reception, the game's live-service model contributed to its relatively short lifespan. Rocksteady announced the end of support on December 9, 2024, with Season 4 Episode 8 as the final update.

This update includes:

• Libra Infamy Set: A new set inspired by the DC villain Libra, manipulating damage dealt and received by enemies.
• Notorious Weapons: Powerful new weapons, including The Silencer's Complete Silence (with a potent area-of-effect ability), Doctor Sivana's Magic Bullets (piercing and electrifying enemies), and Chronos' Equilibrium (bonus damage scaling with missing shield).
• Mayhem Mission: A final battle against Brainiac.
• Gameplay Improvements: Reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels (with retroactive rewards), and adjustments to Deathstroke's Suicide Strike.
• Bug Fixes: A substantial number of bug fixes addressing various gameplay, UI, audio, and performance issues across multiple aspects of the game.

While new content is finished, offline play was enabled in Season 4 Episode 7, allowing players to access all previously released content, including the main campaign and seasonal missions, without an internet connection. Rocksteady hasn't announced a server shutdown, offering continued offline access as a backup.

For those who haven't played, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is currently available on PlayStation Plus until February 3rd.

• Medieval Elseworld Expansion: Explore new areas and variations on existing locations within the medieval Elseworld.
• Libra Infamy Set: High-risk, high-reward set applying "Scales of Libra" stacks to enemies, significantly altering their damage output and received.

New Weapons:

• The Silencer's Complete Silence: Deals bonus damage to enemies affected by "Scales of Libra," with a powerful Alt-Fire creating a damage-reducing zone.
• Doctor Sivana's Magic Bullets: Piercing bullets applying "Scales of Libra" stacks and a chance to electrify enemies.
• Chronos' Equilibrium: Deals bonus damage based on missing shield, rewarding aggressive play.

Gameplay Changes & Bug Fixes: Numerous fixes addressing various gameplay issues, including XP requirements, ability durations, and numerous bugs across various game systems. See full patch notes for details.

Known Issues: A single known issue related to Riddler challenge tracking across different Episodes is noted.

The game's servers will remain online for the foreseeable future, ensuring continued online play for those who wish to experience the final content and engage in online activities.
