Shift Up has rolled out a significant update for Stellar Blade, its action-packed PlayStation 5 exclusive. Among the additions is the former seasonal Summer Event Update becoming a permanent in-game feature that lets players toggle enhanced heat effects on and off at will. The patch also brings various quality-of-life enhancements, including new map markers, the introduction of the “Ammo Package” item for instant ammo replenishment, and more.

However, one of the most talked-about changes centers around the visual upgrades tied to the game’s updated physics engine—specifically how those changes affect protagonist Eve.

A New Level of Realism in Character Physics

As detailed by the development team, Eve’s character model now exhibits more realistic movement dynamics, particularly in certain areas of her physique. In short: things bounce a little more now. Comparisons between pre- and post-update GIFs show a noticeable difference, with assets appearing more dynamic and responsive to movement.

Shift Up has always leaned into stylized presentation when it comes to Eve’s design—offering costumes that accentuate her form—but this update pushes the realism envelope further than ever before.
