The Sims Creator Unveils Details on New Game: Proxi

Will Wright, the mastermind behind The Sims, recently unveiled more details about his ambitious new AI-powered life simulation game, Proxi, during a Twitch livestream. This innovative title, first hinted at in 2018, is finally taking shape, promising a deeply personal gaming experience.

A Game Forged From Your Memories

Developed by Gallium Studio, Proxi allows players to input their real-life memories as text. The game then transforms these memories into animated scenes, editable with in-game assets for a more accurate representation. Each added memory, or "mem," trains the game's AI, expanding the player's "mind world"—a navigable 3D environment of interconnected hexagons.

This mind world populates with Proxies representing friends and family as more memories are added. Memories can be arranged chronologically and linked to specific Proxies, creating a dynamic and personalized representation of the player's life. Remarkably, these Proxies can even be exported to other game worlds, such as Minecraft and Roblox!

Wright's vision for Proxi centers on creating "magical connections" with memories, bringing them to life in a unique and engaging way. He emphasized the game's intensely personal nature, stating, "I found myself getting continuously closer and closer to the player. The more I can make a game about you, the more you'll like it."
