How To Get Shroodle in Pokemon GO

The new year in Pokémon GO is bringing trainers a wave of new Pokémon! Following Fidough's arrival, Shroodle is making its debut – but catching this Toxic Mouse Pokémon isn't as simple as a wild encounter.

Shroodle's Pokémon GO Arrival

Shroodle, introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, arrives in Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Post-event, it will remain available.

Shiny Shroodle?

At launch, Shroodle will not have a Shiny variant in Pokémon GO. Expect its Shiny form to appear in a future event, possibly a Poison-type or Team GO Rocket focused event.

Catching Shroodle

Unlike many recent Pokémon, Shroodle isn't a wild spawn. Your only method to obtain Shroodle is by hatching 12KM Eggs. These eggs, collected from January 15th onwards, will have a chance to hatch Shroodle. Its hatching rate is likely higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event.

Obtaining 12KM Eggs

12KM Eggs are a rare commodity, obtainable only by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event presents an ideal opportunity to stock up on these eggs due to increased Team GO Rocket activity and easier Rocket Radar acquisition.

Grafaiai Acquisition

Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuts January 15th. It's unavailable through wild spawns or eggs; evolution from Shroodle is the sole method. Evolution requires 50 Shroodle Candy, necessitating multiple Shroodle hatches or using one as your buddy.
