Roland-Garros eSeries 2025 Features a New eSports Team Format in Tennis Clash

Get ready for the return of the Roland-Garros eSeries in 2025! Following last year's thrilling competition, this year's tournament promises even more excitement, with a brand-new team-based format, legendary tennis captains, and a €5,000 prize pool up for grabs. Returning sponsors Renault and Mastercard add further prestige, offering players the chance to customize their characters with official Roland-Garros 2025 outfits and the exclusive Renault 5 Roland-Garros string.

When Does It Start?

The Roland-Garros eSeries kicks off in March with open qualifiers. Players will battle it out across three qualifying stages: March 6-11, March 20-25, and April 3-8. These stages will determine the finalists. The top female players from the first two qualifiers automatically advance alongside the overall winners. The ultimate showdown takes place on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum Auditorium, with live audiences and Twitch streaming.

What’s New This Year?

This year's biggest change? Teams! Finalists will compete in teams, each captained by a French tennis legend. Gilles Simon, former ATP world No. 6 and Davis Cup champion, has already been confirmed as a captain. He'll be coaching one squad, while his rival captain—a Grand Slam winner—remains a mystery for now. Simon, a commentator since 2023 and a 2024 Top 8 player, brings a wealth of experience to the competition.

Are You Excited for the Roland-Garros eSeries 2025?

The competition will be fierce. The winning team from the first phase advances to the winner's bracket of a double-elimination tournament; the losing team starts in the loser's bracket. Defending champion Alessandro ΔLEX Bianco returns to defend his title, joined by the two Grand Tour finalists. With 548,000 participants from 215 territories last year, expect an even more intense competition this year.
