Rivals Update 9 Introduces the Gunblade and Bridge Map as Nosniy Prepares to Add Ranked Mode

Roblox's Rivals Update 9 introduces the electrifying Gunblade and the intense Bridge map. This smaller-than-usual update, detailed in the patch notes, focuses on these two additions, leaving other tweaks for future updates.

The Gunblade, a versatile weapon combining rifle and blade functionality, is sure to shake up the gameplay. The new Bridge map, a close-quarters combat arena set in Seoul, Korea, and created by @GreatGuyBoom, provides a thrilling new battleground.

While this update prioritizes the new content, minor skin modifications for the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, along with renaming some weapons (Hexxed to Vexed), have been implemented. The developers have confirmed that bug fixes, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements will be addressed in the next major update, which will also introduce the highly anticipated Ranked mode.

The developers stated their commitment to incorporating player feedback to ensure the Ranked mode is polished and refined. Rivals has maintained a steady stream of updates since its May launch, with previous updates like Update 7 introducing weapons such as the Energy Rifle and Crossbow.

NEW SPECIAL CHALLENGES!

• The Winter Spotlight challenges have been replaced with a new set of challenges on the Bridge map, offering keys and the limited-time Bungeoppang charm as rewards.

OTHER

• Minor modifications to the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins.
• Renamed weapons: Hexxed Flare Gun to Vexed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle to Vexed Candle, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed.
