Relic Entertainment Unveils Earth vs. Mars Game

by Aurora Apr 09,2025

Get ready for an exciting new turn-based strategy game from Relic Entertainment, the developers behind Company of Heroes. Named "Earth vs. Mars," this upcoming title is set to launch this Summer on PC via Steam. In this game, you'll take on the role of defending Earth from a Martian invasion by creating unique creature-human hybrids using the innovative Splice-O-Tron. Imagine commanding units like the Squirrel-Cow, Human-Rhino, and Cheetah-Fly in a battle for survival. The gameplay draws inspiration from the beloved Nintendo DS classic, Advance Wars, offering a fresh take on the genre.

Relic Entertainment explains, "For decades, Martians have been secretly visiting Earth, abducting humans and animals to harvest their atomic essence. Now, they've returned with a full-scale invasion, and it's up to a ragtag group of commanders to lead Earth's resistance. Players will command Earth's military against high-tech Martian saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien warriors in a desperate struggle for survival."

Earth vs. Mars offers a rich gaming experience with over 30 missions in its single-player campaign, allowing players to dive deep into the narrative. For those looking for a challenge, the game includes online multiplayer where you can choose to play as either the Earth or Mars faction. There's also a VS Mode for those who want to test their skills against the game's AI, and a map editor for endless customization and creativity.

“We are excited to bring a Relic Twist to the Advance Wars style of gameplay, infusing some Relic DNA, while harkening back to some of our earlier titles,” said Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell. “Relic Entertainment recently announced a new strategy: Alongside continuing to work on the traditional RTS titles that we’re known for, we’re also going to work on smaller Indie style games in order to explore new sub-genres, experiment, get our creative juices going, and release games more frequently.” If you're eager to get your hands on Earth vs. Mars, you can wishlist it on Steam now.
