by Grace Mar 24,2025

Mods can significantly enhance your experience in *Ready or Not*, offering fresh content and features to keep the game exciting. Yet, they come with their own set of challenges, such as potential instability and restrictions on multiplayer with non-modded players. If you're facing these issues or simply want a clean slate, here's how to remove all mods from *Ready or Not*.

How to Remove Mods in Ready or Not

Whether you've installed mods manually, through Nexus Mod Manager, or via mod.io, you can easily delete them by following these steps:

  1. Launch *Ready or Not*.
  2. Unsubscribe from all mods through the in-game Mod Menu. This action will prevent the mods from redownloading after deletion.
  3. Close *Ready or Not*.
  4. Open Steam, right-click on *Ready or Not* in your Library, and select Properties.
  5. Navigate to Installed Files, then click on Browse.
  6. In the game's folder, go to *Ready Or Not* > Content > Paks.
  7. Delete everything in the Paks folder, then delete the Paks folder itself.
  8. Press Windows+R, type in %localappdata%, and press Enter.
  9. Locate the *Ready Or Not* folder, navigate to *Ready Or Not* > Saved > Paks, and delete this Paks folder as well.
  10. Now, you've successfully removed all mods from the game. To ensure no residual issues, right-click on *Ready or Not* in Steam, go to Properties > Installed Files, and select Verify Integrity of Game Files.

If you're not planning to use mods again, consider a fresh reinstall of the game. While not necessary, it can provide a clean start.

Mods can introduce new content and features into *Ready or Not*, thanks to excellent mod support and an easy installation process crafted by the developers. However, an abundance of mods can lead to errors, bugs, and glitches since they're community-created. Often, these issues can be resolved by wiping all mods and reinstalling them selectively.

Additionally, having mods installed means you can only play multiplayer with others who have the exact same mods. If you want to enjoy the game with friends who are new or don't use mods, you'll need to remove all mods to play together seamlessly.
