Project R.I.S.E.: Supercell

Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've revealed Project R.I.S.E., a reimagining of the concept.

The Full Story:

Clash Heroes is officially defunct. Confirming earlier rumors, Supercell has shelved the project, similar to their previous title, Clash Mini. However, the Clash universe isn't losing this concept entirely. Project R.I.S.E. will be a social action RPG roguelite, set within the familiar Clash world.

Supercell released a video announcement for Project R.I.S.E., where game lead Julien Le Cadre stated, "Clash Heroes is dead. That's the bad news," he continued, "The good news is that Project R.I.S.E. is still a Clash game, and the better news is that it’s now a multiplayer-focused action RPG."

For more details, watch the announcement video:

Project R.I.S.E. shares similarities with Clash Heroes, but it's a completely rebuilt experience. It's a social action RPG roguelite where players team up in groups of three to explore The Tower. Each playthrough focuses on a different floor, with the objective of reaching the highest level possible. Unlike its predecessor, the emphasis is on cooperative multiplayer gameplay with diverse characters, abandoning the solo PvE dungeon focus.

Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is scheduled for its first playtest in early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate.
