Polytopia Update: Aquarion Tribe Reigns Supreme with Naval Dominance

Midjiwan has unleashed a massive update for The Battle of Polytopia: a complete overhaul of the Aquarion Tribe! This marks a significant refresh for the game's first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017.

Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion receive a stunning visual upgrade. Their land units now sport mermaid tails, making them amphibious warriors equally at home in water and (though slightly slower) on land. This update introduces flooded terrain, allowing land and naval units to occupy the same space for the first time.

The Aquarion's buildings have also undergone an aquatic transformation. Construction on water is now possible, with Lost Cities hidden within deep-sea ruins, providing an ideal watery stronghold. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops, now a permanent feature, function similarly to land-based crops.

New aquatic creatures join the fray. Sharks provide surprise attacks, puffers offer long-range bombardments, and jellies unleash electric shocks. Returning favorites, the Trident and Crab units, are also back! Crabs now flood the tiles they traverse, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops. Intrigued? See it in action!

Midjiwan has revitalized the Aquarion Tribe. Note that Lost Cities appear at level 3 and include a pre-built wall.
