Pokémon TCG Pocket: Trading and Space-Time Smackdown Ignite Excitement

Pokémon TCG Pocket's trading feature finally arrives—but the reception is chilly. A new expansion, Space-Time Smackdown, offers a warmer welcome!

As January ends, Pokémon TCG Pocket fans have double the reason to celebrate. The much-anticipated trading feature is live, alongside the major Space-Time Smackdown expansion!

Trading works similarly to real-life trading, letting you exchange cards with friends. However, limitations exist: only certain rarities (1-4 and 1-star) are tradeable, and resources (trade hourglasses and tokens) are required. Despite these restrictions, it's a significant addition.

Space-Time Smackdown introduces legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, Sinnoh starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, and much more!

The trading feature's launch hasn't been universally praised; initial feedback has been less than enthusiastic. While the feature itself is well-implemented, the numerous caveats are a significant drawback. A completely free, unrestricted trading system, or no trading at all, might have been preferable. Developers are reportedly monitoring player feedback, suggesting potential future improvements.
