Pokémon TCG Pocket Is Dropping a Trade Feature and Space-Time Smackdown Expansion Soon

Get ready, Pokémon TCG Pocket fans! Exciting updates are on the horizon with the introduction of trading and the Space-Time Smackdown expansion. Soon, you'll be able to swap cards with your friends directly within the game, adding a whole new layer of interaction and strategy to your experience.

When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?

Mark your calendars! Starting January 29th, 2025, you can begin trading cards with others in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Just a day later, on January 30th, the much-anticipated Space-Time Smackdown expansion will be released. This update not only introduces new cards but also enhances your digital binder and display board with stunning new covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.

The introduction of trading has been eagerly awaited. To trade, you'll need two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Keep in mind, the cards eligible for trading are limited to rarity levels 1-4 and ★1. Initially, you can only trade cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, but the developers have promised more tradeable cards in future updates.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion is all about celebrating the Sinnoh region in Pokémon TCG Pocket. It introduces two new booster packs spotlighting the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, along with fresh card illustrations. Fans will also get to enjoy cards featuring Lucario, the formidable steel-and-fighting type, and the beloved Sinnoh starters: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.
