Before the New Year's event, don't miss the special Community Day event happening between December 21st and 22nd. This event brings back all the former Community Day Pokémon for a thrilling reunion, setting the stage for the upcoming New Year's festivities.

The New Year's event is packed with exciting features. One of the standout rewards is the opportunity to earn 2,025 XP for each Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw. During the event, you'll have a higher chance of encountering themed Pokémon. Keep an eye out for Jigglypuff adorned with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat, all appearing more frequently in the wild. There's also the chance to encounter their Shiny variants, adding an extra layer of excitement to your hunts.

Raids during the event will have a festive twist. One-star raids will feature Pikachu wearing a snowflake beanie, while three-star raids will challenge you with Raticate and Wobbuffet, both donning party hats. All three Pokémon will have increased Shiny rates, making these raids even more enticing.

For those who enjoy quests, the New Year's event includes Field Research and Timed Research tasks, providing additional opportunities to encounter event Pokémon.
