Pirate Software Kicked Out of OnlyFangs World of Warcraft Guild

Summary
- Pirate Software, a member of the OnlyFangs World of Warcraft guild, was expelled following a disastrous Dire Maul North run resulting in the deaths of two Hardcore characters.
- His refusal to accept responsibility for the deaths prompted Guild Master Sodapoppin to remove him from OnlyFangs.
Pirate Software's expulsion from the prominent World of Warcraft streaming guild, OnlyFangs, stems from a failed Dire Maul North run in the recently added World of Warcraft Anniversary servers. The addition of Dire Maul to these servers has already claimed several OnlyFangs Hardcore characters.
Prior to Blizzard's official launch of Hardcore servers in August 2023 (which saw a dip in popularity until the November 2024 Anniversary server launch), players established their own zero-death guidelines. The Anniversary servers revitalized World of Warcraft Classic, significantly impacting the population of the original Classic servers. Since their introduction, numerous Hardcore players have perished, while others have achieved level 60 under the stringent Hardcore rules. Sara and Snupy are among the latest casualties, with Pirate Software facing the consequences of their deaths.
Social media posts confirm Pirate Software's expulsion by Guild Master Sodapoppin, who issued a statement on Discord explaining the decision. The statement cites discomfort among guild members following the deaths of two players during a Dire Maul North run. The incident unfolded when the group pulled a boss before clearing nearby Gordok ogres. Despite a party member's call to reset the enemies by leaving the dungeon, Pirate Software abandoned the group during their escape. While normally he might have remained in the guild, his refusal to acknowledge his role in Sara and Snupy's deaths led to his expulsion. [ttpp] A video detailing the event contains strong language.
This is Why Pirate Software Was Kicked From the World of Warcraft Guild OnlyFangs
The central criticism leveled against Pirate Software is his unwillingness to accept responsibility for the two Hardcore deaths. A post-run review by Twitch streamer Sodapoppin highlighted Pirate Software's failure to effectively utilize crowd control abilities, specifically suggesting that a rank 1 Blizzard spell could have slowed the deadly enemies without excessive mana expenditure. Mizkif and other OnlyFangs members also allege that Pirate Software issued threats to fellow streamers following the incident. Pirate Software responded to his removal on Twitter, expressing dissatisfaction with the handling of the situation.
Given the numerous expulsions from OnlyFangs since its recreation on the Anniversary server Doomhowl, some former members may form their own guild. With Blizzard's ongoing updates to World of Warcraft Classic, incorporating Vanilla-accurate patches, further OnlyFangs casualties are likely as new dungeons and raids are introduced.
