This expansion means the device will be available at major retailers globally, including Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other authorized retailers. A key improvement is the removal of the Nintendo Online membership requirement, making it accessible to all. Alarmo will retail for $99.99 USD.

The initial release saw unexpectedly high demand, leading to sell-outs and a lottery system in Japan to manage orders. Similar high demand was seen in New York City.

Alarmo's popularity has overshadowed much of the speculation surrounding the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 announcement. While the company remains tight-lipped about the new console, the success of Alarmo is undeniable.
