Nintendo Drops Wario Land 4 on Switch Online

Get ready for some Wario-infused mayhem! Nintendo is bringing the acclaimed Game Boy Advance title, Wario Land 4, to its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack library on Valentine's Day, February 14th.

A newly released trailer showcases the game's return. Access is included at no additional cost for subscribers with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership and the Expansion Pack add-on.

The official synopsis teases the adventure: "The avaricious Wario returns, this time on a treasure hunt! Ignoring all warnings, he ventures into a supposedly cursed pyramid brimming with gold and jewels. Our anti-hero soon discovers the 'curse' is no laughing matter, and escaping with his life becomes his primary goal!"

Originally released in 2001, Wario Land 4 was a critical darling, receiving a stellar 9/10 rating from IGN. The review praised its diverse level design and challenging gameplay, noting its unique approach to puzzle-solving within the side-scrolling format.

This marks the 24th Game Boy Advance title added to the ever-expanding Nintendo Switch Online library, joining other classics like Mario Kart: Super Circuit, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team.
