Ninja Gaiden 4: Unveiled; Ninja Gaiden 2 Gets Revamped

Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 also made a splash. Set for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to the action-packed slasher gameplay fans love.

The reveal trailer highlighted Ryu Hayabusa's return as the protagonist, navigating a cyberpunk city drenched in perpetual toxic rain. New mechanics, such as swift traversal using wires and rails, were showcased, adding a fresh dimension to the classic Ninja Gaiden formula. Players will confront waves of genetically-modified soldiers and horrifying creatures in their quest to break an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.

Complementing the announcement of Ninja Gaiden 4 was the news of a major remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2. Already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (and included in Game Pass), this updated version leverages the Unreal Engine 5. Team Ninja has completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments, incorporating elements from later games in the series and adding three extra playable characters.

Koei Tecmo's efforts on both the new game and the remaster are undeniably impressive and deserve the enthusiastic reception they've received.
