Obtaining the Type-40 Sword

The Type-40 sword is the reward for completing the side quest "Find A Present," the culmination of a questline involving Operator 6O. Unlocking this quest requires completing two preceding side quests. Here's a step-by-step guide, including chapter selection points if needed:

1. After defeating Adam and Eve in Chapter 5, you'll receive a call from Operator 6O. This initiates the "Investigating Communications" quest—complete it immediately as it's easily missed.
2. Advance the main storyline, completing Chapter 6 (Forest Castle events) and beginning Chapter 7.
3. After speaking with Pascal and inquiring about A2, explore the city ruins. Operator 6O will contact you again, instructing you to check your inbox at an access point to start "Terminal Repairs."
4. While returning to the Resistance Camp during Chapter 7, you'll receive a final message from Operator 6O regarding flowers. This message, found in your inbox, starts "Find a Present."
