Netflix Sets Squid Game Season 3 Release, Unveils New Images

by Aurora Apr 10,2025

Netflix has officially announced that Squid Game Season 3 will premiere on June 27, 2025, marking the final installment of the globally acclaimed series. Accompanying this announcement, Netflix unveiled a new poster and a series of images that offer "a tantalizing glimpse into the fate of the surviving players," heightening anticipation for what's to come.

Picking up directly from the gripping cliffhanger of Season 2, the third season delves deeper into the harrowing journey of Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), who faces "overwhelming despair" as he navigates his next steps. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) continues to orchestrate his sinister plans. As the stakes escalate, the choices made by the surviving contestants lead to increasingly dire outcomes with each round of the deadly games. Netflix promises that this season will "push the limits of suspense and drama, keeping viewers glued to the action."

The newly released launch poster is both striking and foreboding, featuring a pink guard dragging a bloodied contestant toward a coffin adorned with a pink ribbon. The backdrop has shifted from the vibrant, rainbow-hued track of Season 2's six-legged pentathlon to a swirling flower-patterned floor, ominously hinting at the brutal finale awaiting viewers. The poster also includes the sinister silhouettes of Young-hee and her companion Cheol-su, first teased in the post-credit scene of the previous season, suggesting even more ruthless games on the horizon.
