You'll assume the role of a Psycog, a master strategist who leads genetically engineered mutants in thrilling, fast-paced battles. As the new head of the Panakeia team, you'll journey worldwide, competing in the Xtrem Mutants Junior League. Along your journey, you'll encounter new Champions, unlocking a variety of cards, strategic options, and gene-based abilities. Mutants: Genesis isn't just a card game; it's about adaptability, strategic planning, and evolving your tactics with each move.

The game features over 200 unique cards, categorized into six distinct gene types. The Tech gene focuses on precision and machinery, offering mutants with abilities like Self-Repair and Dual Core for quick, precise attacks. The Necro gene, on the other hand, embraces a darker theme, allowing you to weaponize death. Cards in this category can revive stronger and utilize resources like Bones to enhance your forces.

Blades encourages sharp tactical maneuvers, using Orbs and conditional powers to shift the battle's momentum. Zoo is all about chaos, where mutants evolve rapidly, rush into battle, and deliver unexpected moves as they ascend the ranks. The Space gene emphasizes a military approach, with squad unity and robust defenses. Lastly, the Mystic gene harnesses magic, using abilities like Burn and Stasis to control the battlefield and summon mythical creatures.
