Morpeko Joins Pokémon GO for Halloween!

Halloween in Pokémon GO is gearing up to be spooktacular, with Niantic unveiling the details for Part 1 of the event. And yes, there's a Part 2 coming up as well! Get ready for some thrilling features and eerie encounters.
The Halloween event kicks off on Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and will run until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Here's what you can look forward to:
What’s In Store?
The star of the show is Morpeko, making its much-anticipated debut in Pokémon GO. This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique mechanics, especially when you're battling Team GO Rocket or competing in the GO Battle League.
Morpeko's ability to switch between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode mid-battle, depending on the Charged Attack it uses, adds a fun twist to your gameplay. In Full Belly Mode, you can unleash Aura Wheel (Electric), a powerful move with 100 power that boosts the user's Attack. Switch to Hangry Mode, and Aura Wheel transforms into a Dark-type move, still delivering that 100-power punch and enhancing your Attack.
During the Halloween event, you'll have a higher chance of encountering Morpeko in the premium track of the GO Battle League. After the event, Morpeko will remain available starting at Rank 16, though you'll find it more frequently on the premium side.
Happy Halloween In Pokémon GO-Style!
Pokémon GO is setting the mood with special holiday-themed decorations. If you're a fan of the eerie Lavender Town theme, you're in for a treat with a remix of the classic music playing every night during the Halloween event. Don't miss out on this hauntingly beautiful Lavender Town video:
Another highlight of the Halloween event is the introduction of Dynamax Gastly in one-star Max Battles. Alongside Gastly, you'll also encounter Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble in these battles.
From October 22nd to November 3rd, you can participate in the free Timed Research, which focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing tasks will reward you with encounters featuring Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
Don't forget to grab Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store. And before you go, check out our scoop on Bandai Namco's Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage EOS.
