Monster Hunter Wilds Player Shows How Connected Its World Is With 9-Minute Seikret Trip

by Owen Mar 19,2025

The world of Monster Hunter Wilds is surprisingly interconnected. One player, -BrotherPig-, recently showcased this by traversing the game's zones in a single, epic journey. Their video (see below) documents a run starting in the Windward Plains, across sandy dunes and eventually to the game's late-game areas. (Spoiler warning for those who haven't completed the main campaign!)

The journey is remarkably long, highlighting the seamless connection between zones. Incredibly, there's only *one* loading screen, occurring between the Oilwell Basin and the Iceshard Cliffs. Otherwise, it's a continuous run, showcasing the extensive pathways linking even the most disparate areas of the Forbidden Lands. This impressive feat certainly gives a new appreciation for the game's level design.

While Monster Hunter Wilds isn't entirely free of loading screens (there are screens for the training grounds and fast travel), the overall connectivity is striking.

According to a series producer, the game's success stems from its compelling story, immersive world, and cross-play functionality. Many players are discovering unique aspects of the open-world system, ensuring plenty of content to explore before the first title update in April.

IGN awarded Monster Hunter Wilds an 8/10, stating: “Monster Hunter Wilds continues to refine the series, resulting in extremely fun fights, though perhaps lacking significant challenge.”
