by Christopher Apr 17,2025

Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase today unveiled a wealth of exciting content coming to the latest installment in the Monster Hunter series. Title Update 1, set to launch on April 4, 2025, will be a free update for all Monster Hunter Wilds players. Alongside this update, a variety of free and paid DLC options will become available, enhancing the game's immersive experience. This update introduces a new hub for hunters to socialize, new armor and cosmetic options for a fresh look, and a lineup of new, formidable monsters to challenge.

We now have confirmed details and a release date for Title Update 1 in Monster Hunter Wilds. Which aspect of the update excites you the most? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

PlayA New Hub For Hunters ---------------------

The showcase kicked off with a glimpse into the new endgame hub, the Grand Hub, designed for hunting parties. This new area promises plenty of activities, from feasting and arm wrestling to enjoying the Diva's nightly performances. A fun Barrel Bowling mini-game allows players to earn vouchers through various in-game activities, offering more rewards to enhance the social aspect of the game.

The Grand Hub becomes accessible once you reach Hunter Rank 16 by speaking with Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.

Mizutsune Arrives

A major highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of Mizutsune, the bubbly monster known for its swift tail strikes and water jets. Players at Hunter Rank 21 or above can encounter Mizutsune in the Scarlet Forest by talking to Kanya to initiate the quest. Successful hunts will yield new gear to craft, adding to your arsenal.

Additional Hunts on the Way

A new Event Quest will challenge players with Arch-tempered Rey Dau, a step above the standard Tempered fights, requiring a Hunter Rank of 50 or higher. Triumphing over this beast unlocks new armor. Similarly, Zoh Shia, previously a one-time fight in the main story, will be available for repeated encounters through new quests at Hunter Rank 50, with new armor as a reward.

Arena Quests

Speedrun enthusiasts can look forward to Arena Quests, where hunters can compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be on offer, with pendants awarded for participation and achievement. These can be accessed via the counter in the new Grand Hub.

Change Alma's Outfit

Alma, the dedicated handler, is getting a style upgrade with new cosmetic options. Players can now customize Alma's attire through a new appearance menu at camp, with one outfit available for free. Completing a specific side mission unlocks the option to change Alma's glasses as well.

More DLC is on the way

Alongside Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLC will be released. Classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games will be available for free in the store, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, accessible through the store or for those with the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, offers additional customization options. New stickers and looks for Alma are also on the horizon.

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events

The update will bring more Event Quests and introduce Seasonal Events, which will alter the Grand Hub's appearance and menu offerings. Limited-time equipment, gestures, decorations, and more will be available during these events. The festivities begin with the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance on April 23, featuring pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has confirmed that most past events and quests will return in the future.

The Roadmap Ahead

The rollout of Title Update 1 and related content is scheduled over the coming months. Title Update 1 launches on April 3 for U.S. players, followed by the Blossomdance on April 22. On April 29, the challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau arrives, and by the end of May, other features and a Capcom collaboration will debut.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2

The showcase concluded with a sneak peek at Title Update 2, slated for this summer. While no specific date has been set, an image hints at the possible return of Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, promising surface-level chaos.

Monster Hunter Wilds has enjoyed a successful launch, and with Title Update 1, Capcom aims to establish a rhythm for future updates.
