A New Beast to Conquer

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the second Open Beta Test phase on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. This gives players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025.

The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, players can hunt the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles—a feature absent from the initial beta.

Character data from the first beta carries over, and can later be transferred to the full game. However, progress won't be saved. As a reward for participation, beta testers receive a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a valuable bonus item pack for the full game.

Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating that many players missed the first opportunity or desired a repeat experience. While recent community updates detailed upcoming improvements, these refinements are still under development and won't be included in this beta.
