Mastering Your Fortnite Spending: How Much Have You Really Spent?

Fortnite is free, but its tempting skins can lead to significant V-Buck purchases. Keeping track of your spending is crucial to avoid financial surprises. This guide shows you how to determine your total Fortnite expenditure.

Two methods exist: checking your Epic Games Store account and utilizing the Fortnite.gg website. Regularly monitoring your spending is wise; unexpected costs can easily accumulate. Remember the story from NotAlwaysRight about the woman who unknowingly spent nearly $800 on Candy Crush? Don't let that happen to you!

Method 1: Reviewing Your Epic Games Store Account

All V-Buck purchases are recorded in your Epic Games Store account, regardless of platform or payment method. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Epic Games Store website and log in.
  2. Click your username (top right).
  3. Select "Account," then "Transactions."
  4. On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through your transactions, clicking "Show More" as needed.
  5. Identify entries labeled "5,000 V-Bucks" (or similar) and note the associated dollar amount (if available).
  6. Manually sum the V-Bucks and currency amounts using a calculator to determine your total spending.

Important Considerations: Free Epic Games Store games will appear in your transaction history. V-Buck card redemptions might not display a dollar value.

Method 2: Utilizing Fortnite.gg

As highlighted by Dot Esports, Fortnite.gg offers a way to track your spending, though it requires manual input:

  1. Go to Fortnite.gg and log in (or create an account).
  2. Navigate to "My Locker."
  3. Manually add each purchased outfit and item from your Cosmetics section (click on an item, then "+ Locker"). You can also search for outfits.
  4. Your locker will then display the total V-Buck value of your owned items. Use a V-Buck to dollar converter to estimate your total spending.

Neither method is flawless, but they provide reasonable estimates of your Fortnite spending.

Fortnite is playable on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
