Metal Slug: Awakening Opens Pre-Registration On Android!

Get ready for a blast from the past! HaoPlay Limited's upcoming title, Metal Slug: Awakening, is bringing the classic arcade experience to mobile. Launching globally on July 18th, 2024, pre-registration is now open.

What's the Buzz?

Metal Slug: Awakening delivers a modern twist on the iconic 90s run-and-gun series. Initially revealed in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has seen delays and name changes before its Southeast Asian release in late 2023. Now, it's finally ready for a worldwide launch.

For the uninitiated, the Metal Slug franchise, originating in 1996 from Nazca Corporation, is a Japanese run-and-gun series that's expanded into a multimedia phenomenon. While previous mobile entries like Metal Slug Defense, Metal Slug Attack, and Metal Slug Commander exist, Awakening aims to raise the bar with enhanced features.

This new installment stays true to its roots with classic gameplay, but boasts updated visuals and new mechanics. Reunite with familiar characters in fresh missions, engage in World Adventure mode, team up with friends in 3-player co-op, and conquer Roguelike challenges.
