Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Finally Confirmed — Officially This Time
The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially unveiled during Sony's State of Play 2025 presentation, confirming earlier leaks. A new trailer accompanied the announcement, solidifying the August 28, 2025 launch. This follows a PlayStation Store leak that prematurely revealed both the date and trailer.
Interestingly, a collaboration with Ape Escape was also hinted at, with a concluding "And More" suggesting additional crossovers are in the works. This initial crossover likely references the monkey minigame from the original Metal Gear Solid 3, where Snake used stun grenades and his unique "Monkey Shaker" weapon.
While boasting a new first-person perspective, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater appears to be a remarkably faithful recreation of its predecessor. IGN's preview described it as a "very shiny HD remaster" rather than a full-fledged remake, praising its visual fidelity but noting its close adherence to the original might be considered a limitation.
