"Mastering Monster Capture in Monster Hunter Wilds"

Slaying monsters is thrilling, but sometimes you need to capture them to harvest all their valuable parts. Here's your comprehensive guide on how to capture monsters in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.

Capturing Monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds

Capturing monsters in *Monster Hunter Wilds* is a straightforward process that can be broken down into a few key steps. First, you need to weaken the monster. Your trusty Palico will alert you when the monster is vulnerable, and other indicators include a skull icon appearing over the monster's symbol on your minimap, as well as the monster limping or drooling, signaling low HP.

Once the monster is weakened, it's time to set your trap. Choose between a Shock Trap or a Pitfall Trap and strategically place it on the ground. Lure the monster into the trap, and once it's caught and incapacitated, quickly use one or two Tranq Bombs to sedate it. Alternatively, you can use Tranq Ammo or Tranq Blades, tailored to your weapon and playstyle. Successfully capturing the monster will conclude your quest and transport you back to Base Camp.

How to Get Traps and Tranq Items

While your Palico may occasionally set traps for you, it's advisable to bring your own to ensure you're prepared. You have two trap options: Pitfall Traps and Shock Traps. Craft a Pitfall Trap using a Trap Tool and a Net (either Spiderwebs or Ivy). For a Shock Trap, you'll need a Trap Tool and a Thunderbug Capacitor.

For your Tranq items, craft Tranq Bombs using a Sleep Herb and a Parashroom. These can then be combined with Throwing Knives to create Tranq Blades or with Normal Ammo to produce Tranq Ammo.
