"Marvel Rivals Bans Console Players Using Keyboard and Mouse"

NetEase Games has officially declared that players using keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles for Marvel Rivals will face account suspension. This action is taken because such devices provide an unfair advantage through heightened control sensitivity and the continued use of aiming assistance.

Adapters like XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper enable the simulation of gamepad inputs with a keyboard and mouse, which significantly boosts performance in competitive play, particularly when auto-targeting is enabled.

NetEase's statement clarifies, "We define adapters as devices or programs that emulate gamepad control using a keyboard and mouse. This creates an imbalance in the game, especially in competitive modes." The company employs sophisticated tools to detect these adapters accurately, leading to immediate account blocking upon detection.

In related news, it has been observed that in Marvel Rivals, higher frame rates (FPS) can lead to increased ping. While this might not be significantly noticeable with lower pings, a jump to 150 ms from a usual 90 ms can greatly impact gameplay. This issue appears to be tied to frame rate settings.

For now, the best strategy for players is to await a patch that addresses this issue and to experiment with finding the optimal balance between FPS and ping. Some players suggest maintaining an FPS around 90 for the best experience in Marvel Rivals, a recommendation that may seem unusual compared to games like Counter-Strike 2, but is advised for current gameplay in Marvel Rivals.
