Marvel Contest of Champions will launch the Dark Phoenix Saga with Jean Grey and Bastion alongside the addition of a new Eidol

Kabam is rolling out exciting updates for Marvel Contest of Champions, launching the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and unveiling a novel character type known as Eidols. This month also marks a celebration of the game's powerful female characters, giving players a chance to influence an upcoming Champion rework.

Jean Grey and Bastion are the newest additions to The Contest, each bringing their unique abilities and enhancing the game's narrative. You can recruit Jean Grey starting March 13th, and Bastion will join the roster on March 27th. The Dark Phoenix Saga begins on March 3rd, setting the stage for an epic battle between Jean Grey, the X-Men, and dangerous variants in a thrilling new quest.

The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions continues to evolve with the introduction of more Eidols, furthering the Founders storyline. The first Eidol, Isophyne, debuted in December 2024, and 2025 will see the arrival of three more Eidols, each with a unique sourcing system. Lumatrix, the next Eidol, makes its debut on March 5th and will be available until June 4th.

Lumatrix, designed by The Founders, serves as a master infiltrator with the ability to spy, sabotage, and assassinate with unmatched precision. Constructed from ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix possesses remarkable light manipulation abilities. While it may dazzle on the surface, it's a lethal weapon designed to eliminate enemies while remaining undetected.

To celebrate the powerful women of The Contest, Kabam has collaborated with seven female developers and content creators, each representing a different Champion. Players can participate in deciding which Champion will receive a rework in 2025 by completing Solo Objectives and Realm Events.
