Konami producer Noriaki Okamura, in a recent IGN interview, subtly hinted at the possibility of a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (MGS4) remake within MGS Master Collection Vol. 2, alongside next-gen console ports. While acknowledging the fervent fan speculation surrounding an MGS4 release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Okamura remained cautious, stating that internal discussions regarding the series' future are ongoing. He urged fans to "stay tuned!"

The PS3 exclusive status of MGS4 has long fueled fan desires for a modern port. The release of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, featuring remastered versions of the first three games for various platforms including PC and Switch, further ignites hopes for an MGS4 PS5 port and inclusion in Vol. 2.

Last year's appearance of placeholder buttons for MGS4, MGS5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on Konami's official timeline page fueled the speculation, with IGN reporting these titles as likely candidates for Master Collection Vol. 2. David Hayter, the English voice actor for Solid Snake, also added fuel to the fire with a cryptic social media post last November hinting at his involvement in an MGS4-related project.

Despite the mounting evidence, Konami has yet to officially confirm any plans for an MGS4 remake or its inclusion in Master Collection Vol. 2. The anticipation remains high.
