Kingdom Come: Stolen Treasures - Guide to Bartering Illicit Goods
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, acquiring items and funds through theft offers a tempting shortcut. However, selling stolen goods presents challenges. Traders typically refuse to purchase them, and possession can lead to arrest. Here's how to navigate this:
Selling Stolen Goods:
The simplest method is to store stolen items in a chest. After approximately one to two in-game weeks, the "stolen" marker will vanish, allowing you to sell them to any merchant NPC. The presence of this marker on items in your inventory, acquired through lockpicking or pickpocketing, will alert guards, resulting in arrest unless you can bribe them.
Storing and waiting eliminates this risk. The time needed for the "stolen" tag to disappear varies depending on the item's value; more expensive items take longer.
Helpful Perks & Alternatives:
The "Hustler" and "Partner in Crime" perks (Speech skill tree) enable the sale of stolen goods without penalty. Unlocking these early is advantageous.
Alternatively, fences will purchase stolen goods. Early in the game, a fence can be found in the Nomads' Camp.
Duration of the "Stolen" Status:
The duration before an item is considered "clean" depends on its worth. Pricier items require a longer waiting period.
