Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil new facets of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, this time focusing on the immersive village activities awaiting players. The protagonist, Henry, will engage in a variety of activities, including drinking, shepherding sheep, archery (both crossbow and longbow), prayer, hunting, and assisting villagers with their problems – such as procuring antidotes for the injured.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is slated for release on February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently faced unexpected backlash. Following the discovery of certain in-game documents, activists launched a campaign to cancel the game's development. Figures like Grummz, and other activists described as "agenda-driven," have amplified this controversy.
Speculation surrounding the inclusion of "progressive" elements and specific content intensified after news of a Saudi Arabian ban on Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 spread online. This sparked a wave of criticism from social media users, leading to calls for cancellation and boycotts of the developers.
In response to these accusations, Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, urged the public to trust the developers and to disregard unsubstantiated online claims.
