Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is canceled for being subpoenaed and progressive

Activists are targeting Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.

This led to a wave of online attacks against the developers, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage support for the studio.

Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the allegations, urging the public to trust the developers and to be discerning about online information.

Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes will be distributed in the coming days, following the game's "gold" status achievement in early December. These codes are expected to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.

Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated a week after the initial code distribution.
