Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Ending the Feud

by Max Mar 14,2025

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the feud between Prochek and Olbram threatens to escalate into a full-blown brawl during the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest. But don't worry, you can intervene and bring peace to these warring factions. Here's how to stop the feud.

How to Start "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*

This side quest unlocks after completing either the Frogs or Mice quests for Prochek and Olbram. Regardless of your choice, speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to initiate "Battle of the Frogs and Mice." Then, head to the designated pasture to begin the quest.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

You'll be pressured to choose a side, but a peaceful resolution is possible (detailed below). To side with Prochek, tell him "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" To side with Olbram, say "Let's go and see those Tachovites!" During the pasture confrontation, attempting negotiation might allow you to sway one side, making the ensuing fight easier. Victory earns you some groschen.

To achieve a peaceful outcome, before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram about ending the feud. Next, visit Baliff Thrush in Troskowitz and select the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace."

Success requires a dialogue check. If you pass, read the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room (you can sneak in if needed, but save beforehand!). Tell the scribe, “Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei.”

Now, find three oak trees in the pasture. Examine the middle tree to discover a nail. You can:

  • Leave it: Divides the pasture equally.
  • West Tree: Favors Tachov.
  • East Tree: Favors Zhelejov.

The choice impacts land distribution but doesn't significantly alter the outcome. After placing the nail, speak with Baliff Thrush again; he'll agree to end the feud. Finally, bring Prochek or Olbram to the pasture to finalize the peace. You'll receive the "Master Studies I" book as a reward. This concludes the quest peacefully.
