Kingdom Come 2: Uncover Vostatek's Elusive Mount

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, after the initial story section, you gain access to side quests and open-world exploration. One such quest involves locating Vostatek's missing horse, Pepik, which yields substantial rewards upon completion.

The quest, "Lackey," begins by speaking with Zlata at Vostatek's residence west of Tachov. Alternatively, you can start directly with Vitek, as Zlata will direct you to him anyway. Vitek is located slightly southeast of the house (marked 'B' on the map). This leads you north to where Vostatek is under attack by wolves.

Tracking Down Pepik

After rescuing Vostatek, you must escort him to his campsite where Pepik was tethered. Follow his instructions; be mindful of your stamina, as dropping Vostatek will hinder progress.

Upon arrival, you discover Pepik is gone. Follow the trail of clues along the path, examining each one to continue the search. This leads you to a poacher's camp.

As suspected, poachers have stolen Pepik. He's located at the rear of their camp. Engage the poachers strategically, taking them down in smaller groups to avoid overwhelming combat. Alternatively, you can potentially bypass the tougher opponents within the camp and escape with Pepik. Note that there's no opportunity for rest between rescuing Vostatek and finding Pepik, so your health may be depleted.

Return Pepik to Vostatek's camp. You can then choose to fast travel with him back to his home, receiving a reward of Groschen and access to lodging.

Having successfully recovered Pepik, you're free to continue with other quests, pursue romantic interests, or purchase additional equipment using your newfound wealth.
