The King of Fighters ALLSTAR is officially ending service

by Alexis Feb 10,2025

The mobile beat 'em up ARPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is shutting down on October 30th, 2024. Netmarble's announcement, posted on their official forums, confirms that in-app purchases have already been disabled.

This closure comes as a surprise, given the game's six-year run and numerous collaborations with popular fighting game franchises. The game, based on SNK's King of Fighters series, has enjoyed considerable success.

Netmarble's developer handbook suggests a contributing factor to the shutdown is the depletion of characters from the King of Fighters roster suitable for adaptation into the game. While likely not the sole reason, this provides some context for the decision.
