How Iron Patriot Functions in Marvel Snap

Iron Patriot is a 2-cost, 3-power card with the ability: "On Reveal: Add a random 4, 5, or 6-Cost card to your hand. If you're winning here after the next turn, give it -4 Cost."

While seemingly complex, Iron Patriot's effect is simple. He adds a high-cost card to your hand. If you control the lane after your next turn, that card's cost is reduced by 4. This makes a 4-cost card 0 cost, a 5-cost 1 cost, and a 6-cost 2 cost.

Strategic placement is key. Cards like Doctor Doom can lead to victory, but you must commit to the lane where Iron Patriot is played. Cards like Juggernaut, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Rocket Raccoon & Groot synergize with, and counter, Iron Patriot.

Top Iron Patriot Decks in Marvel Snap

Iron Patriot, like Hawkeye & Kate Bishop, is a versatile 2-cost card. He excels in specific decks, particularly Wiccan-centric strategies and hand-generation Devil Dinosaur builds.

Wiccan-Style Deck:

Kitty Pryde, Zabu, Hydra Bob, Psylocke, Iron Patriot, US Agent, Rocket Raccoon & Groot, Copycat, Galactus, Daughter of Galactus, Wiccan, Legion, Alioth. [Untapped Deck Link]

This deck thrives against Doom 2099. The goal: deploy Wiccan for energy generation, then Galactus to buff Kitty Pryde. US Agent secures lanes, but avoid placing high-cost cards in his lane. Use Hydra Bob, Rocket Raccoon & Groot (or Copycat) in Iron Patriot's lane to maximize his effect. Aim for 7 energy on turn 5 and 8 on turn 6 to unleash your powerful cards, including Alioth.

Devil Dinosaur Deck:

Maria Hill, Quinjet, Hydra Bob, Hawkeye & Kate Bishop, Iron Patriot, Sentinel, Victoria Hand, Mystique, Agent Coulson, Shang-Chi, Wiccan, Devil Dinosaur. [Untapped Deck Link]

This deck utilizes Iron Patriot with Victoria Hand. While Iron Patriot doesn't directly summon Devil Dinosaur, the combination creates powerful late-game plays. If hand size is insufficient for Devil Dinosaur, focus on Wiccan and Mystique to copy Victoria Hand. Sentinel becomes a powerful 2-cost 5-power (or 7 with Mystique) card with Quinjet.

Is the Season Pass Worth It?

Iron Patriot is a strong card, but not game-breaking. Many 2-cost alternatives exist. However, if you enjoy hand-generation strategies, the Season Pass, including Iron Patriot and other rewards, is a worthwhile investment at $9.99 USD.
