The iPhone 16e replaces the iPhone SE (last updated in 2022), offering a design and spec sheet closer to the standard iPhone 16. While pricier than the SE ($429), its $599 starting price undercuts the standard iPhone 16 ($799) and even the iPhone 15 ($699).

iPhone 16e Specs

The iPhone 16e boasts a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch (instead of the iPhone 16's Dynamic Island). It features the same A18 chip as the iPhone 16, but with a 4-core GPU. While slightly less powerful, it supports Apple Intelligence for all iOS 18 AI features. Apple's new C1 cellular modem promises improved battery life—up to 26 hours of video playback (compared to 22 hours on the iPhone 16).

However, MagSafe charging is absent. While Qi wireless charging is supported, the lack of magnetic attachment is a notable omission. Color options are limited to black and white.
