Insomniac Games' Ted Price Reveals Unmade Resistance 4 Pitch

Insomniac Games founder and retiring president, Ted Price, recently revealed in an interview with Kinda Funny Games that a Resistance 4 pitch was developed but ultimately never greenlit. While the concept was lauded internally as "wonderful," Price cited timing and market opportunity as factors preventing its realization.

PlayHe expressed the team's strong desire to continue the Resistance storyline, highlighting the series' compelling alternate history setting and the untapped potential of the Chimera's origins and future narratives.

The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters, was developed by Insomniac for the PlayStation 3. Set in a 1951 alternate reality featuring an alien invasion of the UK, the series concluded before Insomniac shifted focus to projects like the Marvel's Spider-Man franchise and newer Ratchet & Clank installments.

Price's retirement announcement earlier this year marked the end of his 30-year tenure at Insomniac. Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang have been appointed as the studio's new Co-Studio Heads.

Insomniac Games' recent releases include the PC port of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, with Marvel's Wolverine slated as their next major title.
